We love good news, but even more, we love EPIC news. In case you missed the announcement on K-Rock 105.7 Morning Show w/ Matt Soper….

We announced that in collaboration with the City of Kingston, we are pleased to present that Sam Roberts Band will be performing at our closing ceremony on May 12.

Sam Roberts Band are a Montreal-based touring rock band who after six JUNO Awards and five MuchMusic Video Awards, the band has implanted itself on the Canadian Music scene with ease.

Winners of the 2004 Best Album Juno Award for We Were Born In A Flame, Sam Roberts Band is an ideal choice for The Breakout Project thanks in large part to their universal, cross-disciplinary appeal. In a remarkable co-incidence, the new album Terraform was recorded near Kingston, at the Tragically Hip’s studio, the Bathouse, and emerged four weeks later with a killer new album, TerraForm.

It is a perfect matching with The Breakout Project, because just like us, the album reaches high to become far greater than the sum of its individual elements.

We are dancing in our seats here, listening to the incredible new album, and we can’t wait for the big day!
