Role of Technology and AI in Social Innovation
“Working in technology is seriously one of the best career paths to choose – we’re the ones who make innovative ideas come to life! It’s awesome to see so many smart Canadians taking advantage of this opportunity to compete at The Breakout Project. It means a lot to me that this event is taking place in Kingston, my home. I hope young talent in this city will understand that innovation can happen anywhere, all you need to do is challenge the status quo.”
Chris Richard is the Chief Technical Officer, and technical backbone of RateHub.ca. Chris leads RateHub’s full stack web development and operations team from Kingston, Ontario.
Chris received his degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo and embarked on a career as a Software Development Engineer for Microsoft so on after. He returned to Toronto to join the RateHub team in 2010, spearheading the development of RateHub’s website from the ground-up. Chris has technical prowess in several programming languages, client-server architectures, web-services techniques, HTTPSemantic Web and Linked Data.
Outside the RateHub office, Chris can be found spending time with his wife and two children, and brewing his own craft beer.
